High Rankings for Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Programs in 2017 U.S. News & World Report

Several Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs at UIC's College of Nursing received high marks in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Grad School Rankings. As reported by colleagues at News at UI Health, programs with high ranking included:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner -- 7th
  • Administration -- 8th
  • Nurse Midwifery -- 10th
  • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner -- 10th
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner -- 12th
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner -- 13th

News at UI Health goes on to quote Dr. Terri Weaver, dean of the College of Nursing: "These top-ranked programs, spanning the lifecycle from birth to adulthood, demonstrate the caliber and breadth of our faculty expertise and quality of our teaching."  Dean Weaver continues, "our Nursing Administration program, which enables nurse leaders to navigate the challenges of healthcare delivery, has consistently been ranked in the Top 10 programs in the country."
