Sarah Fitz, MSN, ACNP-BC

Sarah Fitz obtained her MSN from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, TN. When she moved to Chicago in 2008, she started working as a staff nurse in a heart transplant/coronary care ICU at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. She currently works as a nurse practitioner for the pulmonary transplant service at Loyola. She cares for inpatients and outpatients with end stage lung disease and pre- and post-transplant patients.

Current Area of Teaching

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students - Clinical rotations Sarah started as a clinical instructor at UIC College of Nursing in the fall of 2015. She coordinates clinical rotations for the Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students, and enjoys mentoring them as they prepare for independent clinical practice.
