Bio

Dr. Tarlov's core research interests lie in the social and societal determinants of health with the goal of advancing knowledge of effective population-based strategies to improve health and reduce disparities based on social position. Her research program centers on policy and environmental influences on health and healthcare behaviors, and on healthcare access and utilization.

Current Area of Teaching

Dr. Tarlov teaches a core course on health equity and social determinants of health in the graduate programs.
