Bio

Carrie S. Klima graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a BSN in Nursing in 1982. She graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago’s Nurse Midwifery educational program in 1986 and received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Connecticut in 2002. She is a Clinical Professor at the UIC College of Nursing and the program director for the nurse-midwifery and women’s health nurse practitioner programs. She is a member of the UIC Nurse Midwifery Practice, doing Centering Pregnancy groups at University of Illinois Health System. Dr. Klima is a founding board member of the Centering Healthcare Institute and has been involved with group prenatal care practice and research since 1999.
