Bio

Angela's current area of nursing practice is advanced population health and school nursing. She is a Nationally Certified School Nurse and holds an Illinois Professional Educators license as a Certified School Nurse. Angela practiced as a school nurse in the Chicago Public School system for several years, planning and facilitating care for a wide range of students, specifically those with medically complex healthcare needs. Her nursing background is pediatric emergency nursing care, which she continues to practice. Angela is currently a clinical instructor for the undergraduate population-focused nursing care course as well as the school nurse internship course. Angela is currently pursuing a Post-Masters Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in the area of Advanced Community Health Nursing.
