The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing has received a $5 million donation from M. Christine Schwartz to expand upon an existing simulation laboratory that bears her name.

Can music encourage people to move even when moving is painful?  That is what a team of UIC researchers including College of Nursing's Dr. Eileen G. Collins intends to find out. As reported by UIC News, the goal of the study is "to see if music can help patients with peripheral artery disease -- which makes movement painful -- stick with an exercise regimen".
