Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Our NP programs are fully aligned with the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties Competencies for Nurse Practitioners and the APRN Consensus Model. Upon completion of the NP programs, graduates are eligible to obtain APRN Board Certification.
The objectives of our Doctor of Nursing Practice programs are to prepare expert advanced practice nurses who can synthesize practice, research, and theory to increase the quality and utilize evidence as the basis of patient care.
Our core courses, such as health assessment, physiology, and pharmacology, prepare you with the foundational knowledge required for all graduate students. Our clinical courses include a wide variety of opportunities that allow you to build on your existing clinical skills, broaden your knowledge base, and gain the knowledge and skills essential to practicing in your concentrated area of either adult-gerontology acute or primary care.
