Professors Martyn-Nemeth & Vuckovic Inducted as Fellows of the American Heart Association (FAHA)

UIC Nursing Professors Pamela Martyn-Nemeth, PhD, RN and Karen M. Vuckovic, PhD, APN, ACNS-BC were inducted as Fellows of the American Heart Association (FAHA) during the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions in Orlando, Florida, on November 10th, 2015.

Dr. Martyn-Nemeth is an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing and has among other distinctions received an Excellence in Clinical Practice Award, Sigma Theta Tau.  Dr. Vuckovic is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the College and was a 2014 winner of the Junior Faculty Research Award.

Induction into the American Heart Association Fellowship recognizes scientific and professional accomplishments and volunteer leadership and service. Nurses, physicians, scientists and other health care professionals are elected through a highly selective process based on a major and productive interest in cardiovascular disease and stroke.
