Care from Aviva Midwifery Practice Earns Highest Praise from New Mother
Having a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) provide care and deliver their first-born baby made a world of difference to Jenny Shully and her husband. In a letter of thanks, Shully singled out Mary Bauer CNM who is also the Aviva Practice Director. "Mary was amazing", Shully wrote, "at allaying my fears, co-managing my care and helping me plan for a variety of different birth experiences." It was a difficult pregnancy. For health reasons, she needed to be induced a week before her due date. "My labor and delivery was not at all what I had planned or hoped for" Shully explains, "but ultimately, it was the most satisfying experience of my life. I know I have these midwives to thank for it." Shully's daughter is now 16 months old.
