Dr. Tonda Hughes -- 2015 Researcher Hall of Fame, Sigma Theta Tau International

Dr. Tonda Hughes will be inducted along with 18 other honorees into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI).  In a press release dated March 3, STTI explains that the award "recognizes nurse researchers who have achieved significant and sustained national or international recognition and whose research has improved the profession and the people it serves."

Dr. Tonda Hughes is Associate Dean of Global Health in the UIC College of Nursing (CON).  She is an internationally recognized scholar and recipient of many awards including the Betty Ford Award (2014) and the U. of Kentucky College of Nursing Hall of Fame (2011).

The actual induction will take place on July 26, 2015 at the 26th International Nursing Research Congress in Puerto Rico.
