Lois Platt, CON Instructor & DNP Student, to Receive 'Article of the Year' Award from Scholarly Journal
Lois M. Platt, MS, PMHNP-BC, LCPC, who is a Clinical Instructor and DNP Student at the UIC College of Nursing, is this year's recipient of the "Article of the Year" Award from the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services (JPN).
The article, co-written with Sarah Ritter, MA, MSN, RN, APN, PMHNP-BC, is titled, "What's New in Treating Inpatients With Personality Disorders?: Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Old-Fashioned, Good Communication" (link). It appeared in the January 2016 issue.
As JPN explains on its award page, "the winning article is chosen by a committee based on writing clarity, style, and editorial expertise." The authors will receive the award at the JPN Editorial Board meeting during the American Psychiatric Nurses Association annual conference, held this year in Hartford, CT.
