Regional Director Elaine Hardy, PhD, RN was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Nurses Association (ANA) Illinois as part of the 2015 slate.  Elected as President was CON PhD student Dan Fraczkowski.

Dr. Martha Bergren has been appointed to the National Quality Forum pediatric measures committee.

With over 3000 in attendance, local and regional high school students were excited to learn more about careers in the healthcare field at the 2015 Academy Expo in Rockford.

On Mon. October 12th, we celebrated the College of Nursing Renovations made possible by the generous gift from M. Christine Schwartz and the T & C Schwartz Family Foundation.

Eileen G. Collins, PhD, RN, FAACVPR, FAAN  received the CON’s Distinguished Researcher Award on Friday, Sept. 18 in the 3rd fl. Event Center of UIC's College of Nursing.

The White Coat Ceremony was held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the Student Center West.  Following the ceremony, there was a reception in the CON lobby/courtyard.

The Master of Science program at UIC's College of Nursing (CON) comes in at No. 9 in the "Top 50 Best Value MSN Programs of 2015", compiled by Value Colleges.

Of the forty winners of the new "40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders Award", eleven have connections with UIC College of Nursing including current faculty member Prof. Charles Yingling.

Research by CON Prof. Mariann Piano and three other colleagues has identified a biomarker that is significantly higher in the blood of binge drinkers than in moderate drinkers.
