Bio

Robin is an Advanced Community Nursing/School Nursing Clinical Specialist, a Nationally Certified School Nurse and has held an Illinois Professional Educator’s License in School Nursing since 2001. Robin’s passion is improving health and educational outcomes for vulnerable children through school nursing specialty practice. She has expertise in policy, protocol, and procedure development to protect the rights and safety of students with complex medical needs in school. Robin has been a clinical instructor at UIC College of Nursing since 2013 in population-focused health courses and the School Nurse Certificate Program. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in the area of Advanced Population Health at UIC with a project focus on developing clinical practice guidelines for school nursing practice.

Robin is a co-investigator on Improving Sickle cell care in Adolescents and Adults in Chicago (ISAAC) in response to RFA-HL-16-010 Sickle Cell Disease Implementation Consortium (SCDIC): Using Implementation Science to Optimize Care of Adolescents and Adults with SCD (U01).
